The Exist Code Camp or “ECC” Manila 2010 graduation was celebrated over lunch by our seven IT rockstars at Racks (El Pueblo) in Ortigas Center last May 25. Adrian, Leand, Nelvin, Gillian, Kaisel, Raymond and Amboy also got a chance to play a couple of games facilitated by two ECC team members – no prizes though, just pure, hot-saucey fun. At 3pm, our head of Philippine operations, Mr. Ricky Gumaru, delivered his welcome remarks in the green room of the G2iX Innovation Center to formally open the commencement rites. A number of G2iX employees witnessed the awarding of certificates accompanied by humble speeches from the graduates. After that, the Best Project was awarded to the Ruby on Rails group, where each of the four members got a portable hard drive as a prize. Cool, huh? All seven survivors also received a special edition ECC 2010 shirt with the tagline “I Rocked My First Gig.” The last part of the program consisted of the usual photo ops.
