The CIO Innovation Toolkit

Innovation is something that a company might abandon all-together in light of a tough economic crunch.  What happens instead is a frantic search for stop-gap measures to address cost dependencies that more often than not involve job cuts. Yet, interestingly there are other ways available at present that may lessen the company burden.  Much of it though, we'd have to dig deep into technology utilization - to move beyond just infrastucture management and 'keeping the lights on' IT mentality, to something that would enable business to harness technology efficiently well enough to devote more energies to the core business.

So for the CIO, can innovation be found just off-the-shelf?  Luckily, that might be true.

Last Wednesday, we've launched the first G2iX CIO Forum and highlight of which is a presentation delivered by our CEO, Winston Damarillo, who obviously never failed to leave a lasting impression with his meticulous manner of explaining to the audience the virtues of specific technologies, which at this point were focused on Open Source, Cloud Computing and Engineering Automation.  To hear him talk in person would have been ideal but for those who missed the event we'll just have to content ourselves with his slides for now and look forward to seeing you on the next ones we'll have.
